Dorset Geologist\u2019s Association Group (DGAG) will host a Field Trip on the Saturday 21st June 2025<\/strong>.
\nTitle:<\/strong> Walking with Dinosaurs Guided Walks \u2013 21 June
\nLeader :<\/strong> led by Jonathan Stiby (DGAG)
\nTime:<\/strong> Meet at 10 am
\nLocation:<\/strong> Worth Matravers village car park of Wood Henge fame.
\nThe car park is at BH19 3LE or muscular.snuggled.resist (what3words).
\nEntry Cost:<\/strong> Please note that there is a car park honesty box (\u00a33). The DGAG guided walk is free to members, and a \u00a31 fee for non-members.
\nBooking: <\/strong>Email-> fieldtrips@dorsetgeologistsassociation.org to register your interest and attendance for this date.
\nDescription:<\/strong> There are some great opportunities to join a number of family friendly Dorset Geologists Association Group (DGAG) and\/or National Trust guided walks this Summer 2025 to see the 145 million year old dinosaur footprints at the Spyway Quarry in the Purbecks. This is a lovely collaboration between the National Trust\u2019s Purbeck Goes Wild and DGAG.
\nThe DGAG walks will start at the Worth Matravers village car park of Wood Henge fame. The car park is at BH19 3LE or muscular.snuggled.resist (what3words).
\nJonathan Stiby and Andy Melrose from DGAG will lead these.
\nThe walk is about 2 miles to and from Spyway Quarry and will include a visit to the Square and Compass! Two more dates are offered in August (dates and contact details to be confirmed shortly) – led by Andy Melrose (DGAG). Feel free to register your interest for the June
\ndates. We will update you with August dates shortly.
\nKeep an eye on both the DGAG website and facebook pages for all updates on these.
\nWe will need willing volunteers to write each of the trips up and thank you in advance for this and of course to the trip leaders above.
