Royal West India Mail Steamer 'Tyne' on shore at St Alban's (Aldhelm's) Head January 24th 1857.  Fortunately for the crew, the ship wedged herself between two of the limestone ledges.   All were saved having been advised by the coastguards to stay aboard until daylight
