Earth Science Everywhere: Earth Science Week 2024

From 13–19 October 2024, Earth Science Week will celebrate the theme “Earth Science Everywhere“.
The year’s theme emphasises the influence geoscience has in our homes, in products, roads and transportation, and across STEM disciplines and the humanities. This theme will hopefully encourage individuals to appreciate how geoscience relates to their interests, communities and future pursuits.
Each October, the Geological Society coordinates Earth Science Week in the United Kingdom, in cooperation with the American Geoscience Institute and the wider international geoscience community. Earth Science Week promotes responsible stewardship of the Earth through celebratory events and opportunities to discover the Earth Sciences, involving community groups, educators, and citizens.
Look out for a variety of local and regional outreach and public engagements events for all ages.
