Geowalk 3: Acton – Langton Matravers – Dancing Ledge
The next geowalk is on Thursday 5th May, start at 10:15am, finish by 3pm.
It is a group walk (max. 15), start and finish together.

What/Where: A circular walk along bridleways, footpaths and minor roads. Discover Spyway Barn, Dancing Ledge, Keates Quarry, Langton Matravers and Crack Lane Quarry.
Geology: Purbeck and Portland Beds.
Contribution to DGAG Funds: £2.
Distance: 12km.
Ascent/Decent: 320m.
Walk Grade: Moderate – for people with regular country walking experience and a good level of fitness. May include some steep paths and open country, and may be at a brisk pace. Walking boots and warm, waterproof clothing are essential.
